FAQ's
If you’re a U.S. citizen traveling to Portugal (or any Schengen Area country) for tourism or business up to 90 days:
✅ Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended departure from the Schengen area.
❌ No visa required (for stays under 90 days in a 180-day period).
We recommend flying into Porto, Portugal (OPO) if possible. Lisbon, Portugal (LIS) is another option.
Our wedding venue is an approximately 20 minutes car from the Porto airport and a three hour commute by car from the Lisbon airport.

As we have a strict guest list to stay within our venue's capacity, we can only accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!
It is possible to order a special meal, namely vegetarian, vegan, among others. Just mention it in the RSVP questionnaire, or contact our wedding planner through the following email: olivia@aboutevents.com.pt .
We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us! The dress code is Black Tie.
The cocktail will be held outside following the ceremony, weather permitting. Dinner will be held inside.
Yes, it is one of the safest countries in the world – making it a popular destination for families, older travelers, and solo female travelers. Normal safety precautions should still be followed as in any country.
While Portuguese is the official language, many locals speak English & Spanish, especially in tourist areas.
